About our panellists

Neha Rastogi

Head of APAC Credit Risk South and D&I Champion for Risk & Compliance, J.P. Morgan

Neha is the Head of APAC Credit Risk South covering ANZ, India & ASEAN, having held leadership roles within Risk over the years. She is additionally driving the Credit Risk Transformation agenda for APAC. With 18 years of experience within Risk, Neha’s experience spans across credit risk products, structures, and geographies in Asia Pacific. Prior to her current role, Neha was the Chief Risk Officer for Hong Kong and the Head of Financial Sponsor and Strategic Financing for Asia Pacific Credit Risk having partnered across businesses.

Passionate about the people agenda, Neha is the Diversity & Inclusion Champion for APAC Risk & Compliance and leads the D&I Action Group. The group is focused on promoting a diverse and inclusive culture, developing our talent and driving manager accountability to encourage diversity and inclusion through the Risk and Compliance organization. Neha holds an honors degree in Economics  from Delhi University and an MBA in finance from the Indian Institute of Management Indore.

Benedicte Gardner

Head of Group Operational Risk, Standard Chartered

Ms. Benedicte Gardner is a Managing Director of Standard Chartered Bank in the Risk division, based in Singapore. She joined SCB in 2018 and heads the Group, Operational Risk team. Benedicte joined SCB Singapore from Credit Suisse where she was previously Regional Head of Operational Risk Management APAC. Prior to that she held various positions at Societe Generale in Finance, Global Operations and Change Management based in Paris, Hong-Kong and Singapore. Benedicte holds a degree in Finance from ESCEM Business School in France.

Tonia Wong Kee

Regional HR Manager for Risk, legal & Compliance and Country HR manager for Hong Kong, Bank of America

Tonia is the APAC regional HR manager for Risk, legal & Compliance (inc OPS RISK) and Country HR manager for HONG KONG for Bank of America. In her role she is responsible for supporting her client groups in: attracting, retaining & developing their teams and driving the regional HR people priorities. In her capacity as country HRM, she represents HR in governance routines and sits on the HONG KONG country leadership team. Tonia is also active in the Bank’s D*I agenda and is part of the Women’s network in HK sits on the chapter’s leadership team (LEAD). In her network role she leads the internal speaker series and designs & delivers events to connect the network’s members with senior leaders of the Bank. Tonia has lived in Hong Kong for 9 years and has previously worked in Australia and the UK.

Katie Butterworth

Chief Operating Officer and Regional Head of Risk Strategy, Asia Risk, HSBC

Katie Butterworth has been with HSBC since 2003 and has worked for the HSBC Group in four different locations prior and has extensive experience in leadership, project development/execution, risk management, corporate banking, personal financial services and governance. In her current capacity as COO, Katie has management oversight and responsibility for creating an effective operating model that meets the standard of the Global Risk function, as well as local requirements, in an efficient and cost effective manner. As Regional Head of Risk Strategy Katie manages the implementation of the Risk Management Framework including risk governance, risk appetite, climate risk and supporting the regional CRO.
