Proven ability to lead and manage Risk functions in a complex and rapidly changing environment. Strategic thinker and problem solver with a track record of developing Risk management frameworks that protect the interests of the company while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Charles’s recent assignments have included investment /asset managers, global insurer, information provider, and smaller challenger banks. He was previously the Chief Operating Officer for UBS Middle Office / Operations in both the Fixed Income and Equities businesses.
His former roles include operational risk transformation, advisory and framework lead at Bank of America and the Head of Non-Financial risk Transformation at Standard Bank Plc. He has also led a third-party Risk Management (‘TPRM’) programme implementation for a FTSE 100 asset manager in London.
Charles has extensive experience of analysing and implementing multi jurisdiction Risk regulations impacting financial institutions through to regulatory agency engagement and approval.
