Like many others, we will not dwell upon 2020 too long in this report and will focus not just on the key trends observed over the last 12 months, but equally look forward to 2021 with a sense of tentative optimism and consider the potential areas of growth, development and where necessary, caution in the year ahead.

In the following review we will assess in more detail the observed trends within specific risk types as well as predictions for the year ahead. At a high level, and in spite of ongoing cost and headcount reduction measures, senior level hiring across the region continued at a reasonable pace.
