Our Client is a global provider of end-to-end, integrated AI-powered Merchandising, Marketing and Supply Chain Solutions which delivers profitable revenue growth for Retailers & CPG Manufacturers. The company provides user predictive analytics and prescriptive recommendations which make it easier to identify growth opportunities, activate plans and realise profit and revenue growth, from supplier to shelf.

The company is rapidly expanding the European organisation, and as such are looking to bring in sales superstars with experience of selling software solutions to Grocery Retailers and who are looking to work in a high growth company and be part of their continued growth plans. This is a highly visible and strategic role where exceptional relationship building skills coupled with a strong background in identifying and closing complex SaaS deals will directly influence the company’s revenue growth and strategic plans for the European region.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define, develop and implement the sales strategy, the go-to-market sales model and the market proposition to achieve the planned sales targets
  • Drive demand creation, lead generation and new business sales
  • Build and develop strong, long-term client relationships with new customers, lead the bid campaigns, negotiate the commercial contracts and personally win new logo Retail and CPG client accounts
  • Qualify new leads and determine ways to access senior leadership, preparing appropriate sales and presentation materials to engage the prospective clients
  • Collate competitive intelligence for dissemination across the business and become an authority on the competitors, their products, services and commercial models


Key Experiences

  • Significant experience of new business sales in “sales hunter” roles, with a performance track record of successfully delivering profitable revenue growth within a Grocery Retail and CPG environment
  • Highly experienced in defining, developing and implementing the sales strategy, the go-to-market sales model and the market proposition for a Retail software provider
  • Extensive experience of driving demand creation, lead generation and new business sales, with a proven track record of driving double-digit year-on-year revenue growth and working with Pre-Sales
  • Highly experienced in building and developing robust, long-term client relationships within the Retail and CPG sectors from a standing start, with a strong personal network of contacts within the Retail and CPG arena
  • Demonstrable ability to lead the bid campaigns, negotiate the customer contracts and personally win name logo Retail and CPG accounts, with strong knowledge of the Retail market for high-volume Grocery Retail, Convenience and DIY customers
  • A record of dealing with large accounts together with a knowledge and experience of selling large scale SaaS deals
  • Experience of converting customers from on-prem/ perpetual license to SaaS sales models
