VP Business Development, Europe or United States

 

Our client is a disruptive VC-backed Integrated Silicon Photonics technology company. They have just closed considerable funding for the development and commercialisation of their optical connectivity technology for the data centre. Their first product is an optical transceiver which is x10 smaller, requires x3 less power and 50% cooling than existing products. But this is just a stepping stone to the ultimate goal of their ‘optical to the package’ solution, which we can’t say more about at this stage.

 

This well-funded start-up now requires a commercial to take accountability for the go to market activities of the business.

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • A successful track record of sales and business development. Or will be a highly commercial customer facing VP Product.
  • Experience in the data-centre ecosystem, ideally in connectivity, switching or processing semiconductor or device companies.
  • Experience of long complex design-in sales and able to engage in long term relationship builds with customers and partners.
  • Demonstrable experience of complex contract negotiation skills.
  • Experience of building, motivating and managing technical pre-sales teams or sales teams across multiple sites globally.
  • The ability to contribute strategically to the wider business beyond “just” sales.
