Overview of the Role

The group will achieve it’s goals by a combination of acquisitive growth, the development of our internal talent, and the acquisition of external talent.

As Head of Talent Acquisition, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our recruitment processes, across all geographies.


Key Components to the Role

Knowledge Management

  • Track and record market moves in the Executive Search & Talent Consulting industry.
  • Utilize the company database (Invenias) and other desk analysis tools, e.g. Internet, LinkedIn, target company websites, press releases, event attendee lists etc. to generate target candidates for search assignments.
  • Create biographical profiles on candidates. This information can be found on LinkedIn, press articles, conference bios, website bios, and the company database Invenias.
  • Create organizational charts and diagrams.
  • Update organizational charts by cross checking information sources including LinkedIn and company websites; reflecting changes in the company database.
  • Research the relevant practice areas of target companies, keeping abreast of new developments, changes to company structures, moves, key themes and insights etc.
  • Extensive mapping of a targeted industry segment.
  • Compilation of the research report: Ensure all biographical information/profile information on candidates is accurate.


Data Entry & Data Management

  • Work with Managing Directors and Associates to enter candidate and company related information into the Invenias database. This could take the form of cross checking information currently in the database, or adding new entries as a result of internet research.
  • Addition of data from legacy research reports to the company database.
  • Ensure all information gathered is entered into the database and that all new and updated entries follow the company minimum requirements, are correctly skill coded, and that contact logs reflect contact made.
  • Ensure that all data is saved efficiently, accessibly and is GDPR compliant.
  • Create regular reports to be presented the EMC (Executive Management Committee) on Tableau.


Telephone Work

  • Candidate outreach through switchboards, direct dials and mobile where applicable.
  • Phone interaction with known contacts of Sheffield Haworth to ensure accuracy of information.
  • Extensive phone contact will be required in conjunction with talent mapping projects.
  • Advanced telephone work. Network extensively via the telephone with candidates and sources. Map the universe via sourcing and cold calling.
  • Qualify candidates on both their hard and soft, whilst continuously assessing culture fit for Sheffield Haworth.
  • Present Sheffield Haworth as an attractive new workplace; accurately pitch our capabilities and articulate our Vision 2025 strategy.
  • Gather market intelligence (salaries, clients, fee levels, fee structures, bonus structures, organisation structures, business results) and report back to senior stakeholders


Assignment Work / Project Work

  • Gather extensive requirements from Managing Directors about their hiring needs.
  • Formulate a research strategy to meet hiring requirements, including specifying target companies and target universe.
  • Identify new target companies within industry. Present intelligence to senior stakeholders.
  • Conduct full competency based interviews; present notes to senior stakeholders.
  • Manage the Invenias database in real-time, to reflect the accuracy of candidate contact points.
  • Format candidate CV’s and supporting interview notes.
  • Regularly update senior stakeholders on progress & market intelligence



  • Excellent data mining skills / desk based research skills
  • Ability to archive and assimilate information
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail
  • Experience or understanding of the Executive Search, Recruitment or Talent Consultancy industries.
  • Confident phone manner and willingness to make extensive contact with people via the telephone, including making cold calls
  • Able to adapt to IT system quickly and databases. Ideally a good working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • High energy and work ethic, team player.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Time management skills.
