We are hiring an Associate to join our fast-growing and dynamic Global Real Estate Team based in New York.


Sheffield Haworth has an in-house research team of circa 25 multi-lingual associates based across our offices globally.  The team produces in-depth research to support the placing of senior executives, and also provides valuable data and competitive analysis for the Research & Advisory business to help clients produce forward thinking hiring strategies.


At Sheffield Haworth our associates are fully involved in the search process from the inception of an assignment to completion.  Where possible, associates will attend the initial briefing through to mapping and networking with the universe of candidates to supporting the consultant in presenting the shortlist of candidates to the client. This close working relationship enables associates to fully understand the culture of the client organisation, the requirements for each project and to help tailor the research process to the client.


Our strong research capability has enabled Sheffield Haworth to consistently deliver a large number of complex assignments for our clients globally and enabled us to build a considerable track record of achievement, over 25 years.

Overview of the Role

Associates provide support to their consultant(s) in the following areas:

  • Knowledge Management & Desk Research:
    • Market & Product Knowledge.
    • Networking & Sourcing.
    • Data Entry & Data Management.
  • Execution:
    • Telephone interviews/Profiling.
    • Face-to-Face interviews.
    • Candidate Management.
    • Written Work – profile development.
  • Candidate & Client Interaction.
  • Assisting consultants with Business Development.



  • Excellent data mining skills / desk-based research skills.
  • Ability to archive and assimilate information.
  • Confident phone manner and willingness to make extensive contact with people via the telephone, including making cold calls.
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to adapt to IT systems and databases quickly, with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook email – and Adobe Pro.
  • High energy and work ethic, team player.
  • An interest in the financial markets and executive search.
  • US Work authorization a must.


Salary and Benefits

  • This is a permanent full-time position.
  • Salary dependent on skill/experience.
  • Office hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm.
