Executive Chairman

A professional services advisor and business leader for the past 25 years, Tim Sheffield currently serves as Executive Chairman of Sheffield Haworth, the business he co-founded in 1993. Tim has advised chief executives, boards, executive committees and human resources directors from a diverse range of organisations across all regions of the world.

Patrick Morrissey

Patrick Morrissey

Deputy Chairman

Patrick co-founded Sheffield Haworth and is currently Chairman of the Wealth & Asset management practice. Patrick has more than 25 years’ experience working with and establishing investment management boutiques as well as placing key executives into global investment organisations. He also advises on succession planning, team lift-outs and acquisitions. Patrick spent his early career with Oppenheimer Fund Management, Gartmore and Hambros Investment Management.

Michelle Henry

Managing Director

Michelle joined Sheffield Haworth in 1999 and is a member of Sheffield Haworth’s Board of Directors. She works globally for a range of financial institutions including investment banks, asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds and custodians across risk management, compliance, audit, operations and COO. Prior to working at Sheffield Haworth, she managed the business consultancy and operations teams for a global financial recruitment firm. Michelle began her career in the operations function at Morgan Stanley. She is a graduate of the London School of Economics.

Simon Roberts

Simon Roberts

Managing Director, Head of Asia Pacific

Simon joined Sheffield Haworth’s Board of Directors as a non-executive director in January 2002 and subsequently became managing director and group chief operating officer in February 2007. In 2009 Simon relocated to Hong Kong to head up Sheffield Haworth’s Asia Pacific platform. Simon focuses on senior roles in corporate & investment banking, M & A, coverage and capital markets across Asia Pacific. A law graduate from Cambridge University, Simon has over 30 years’ experience in financial markets and has also worked at Cazenove & Co. and UBS Warburg.

Gilbert Swann

Gilbert Swann

Managing Director

A member of the Board of Directors, Gilbert has been with Sheffield Haworth since 2002 and is now responsible for the global banking business in Europe. Gilbert works across investment banking (M & A, country and industry coverage), ECM, DCM, leveraged finance, project and infrastructure finance and syndicated finance. Previously, Gilbert established a successful structured finance desk at a boutique search firm in London and, before that, worked for Thomson Reuters as a financial journalist.

John Gardner

Managing Director

John has worked in Executive Search and Talent Consulting for over 25 years and joined Sheffield Haworth in 2017 as part of the acquisition of nbi Consulting, where he was previously Chairman. He focuses across the entirety of the Business & Professional services sector. Prior to nbi he worked for Penna Consulting, one of the UK’s largest Human Capital management consulting companies, where he was a member of the executive committee. Prior to joining Penna he established Talisman, a business focussed on the provision of Executive Search services to organisations in the Technology, Media, Telecommunications, Professional services and Commercial sectors.

Steve Morrison leads the Board Practice and the Software and Services Practices, recruiting CEOs, Board Members and Executives for corporates as well as smaller, high-growth technology companies. He is a specialist in the Software and Services sectors and has a proven track record of recruiting the executive talent who can deliver value and growth to clients.

Prior to founding Gillamor Stephens in 1998, Steve led the IT Search Practice of an international recruitment organisation. He has over 20 years experience in executive level recruitment across EMEA.

Paul Gillespie

Paul Gillespie leads the Venture Capital Practice, delivering global searches to find the best talent for European, Nordic and Baltic early and mid-stage technology companies. Paul specialises in broad based physical technologies – recently including the electronics, IoT, PV, wireless and semiconductor sectors.

Prior to founding Gillamor Stephens in 1998, Paul was Director of Search & Selection for a recruitment company which sold to a publicly quoted executive search business.
