Tim has been a professional services advisor and business leader for the past 20 years and currently serves as Chairman of Sheffield Haworth. He founded the business in 1993. Tim has advised chief executives, boards, executive committees and human resources directors on their senior human capital needs, working with a diverse range of organisations across all regions of the world.

Patrick Morrissey

Patrick helped establish Sheffield Haworth and is Chairman of Wealth & Asset Management practice. Patrick has more than 20 years’ experience working with and establishing Investment Management boutiques as well as placing key executives into global investment organisations. He also advises on succession planning, team lift outs and acquisitions. Patrick spent his earlier career with Oppenheimer Fund Management, Gartmore and Hambros Investment Management.

Michelle Henry

Managing Director

Michelle joined Sheffield Haworth in 1999 and is a member of the Sheffield Haworth Board of Directors. She has completed mandates in Europe, MENA, North America and Asia for a range of financial institutions including investment banks, asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds and custodians across Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Operations and COO. Prior to Sheffield Haworth she managed the Business Consultancy and Operations teams for a global financial recruitment firm. Michelle began her career at Morgan Stanley where she worked in the Operations function. Michelle is a graduate of the London School of Economics.

Simon Roberts

Simon Roberts

Managing Director, Head of Asia Pacific

Simon joined the Board of Sheffield Haworth as a Non-Executive Director in January 2002 and subsequently as Managing Director and Group COO in February 2007. Simon relocated to Hong Kong in 2009 as Head of Sheffield Haworth`s Asia Pacific platform. Simon focuses on senior roles in Corporate & Investment Banking, M&A, Coverage and Capital Markets across Asia Pacific. A law graduate from Cambridge University, Simon has over 30 years’ experience in financial markets, having also worked at Cazenove & Co. and UBS Warburg.

Gilbert Swann

Gilbert Swann

Managing Director

Gilbert has been with Sheffield Haworth since 2002 and is responsible for the Global Banking business in Europe. Gilbert works across Investment Banking (M&A, country and industry coverage), ECM, DCM, Leveraged Finance, Project and Infrastructure Finance and Syndicated Finance. Gilbert is a member of the Sheffield Haworth Board of Directors. Previously, Gilbert established a successful Structured Finance desk at a boutique search firm in London and, before that, he worked for Thomson Reuters as a financial journalist.

Mark Richards

Mark Richards

Non-Executive Director

As the Chief Executive of IPGL Limited, the principle shareholder of Exotix, Mark brings considerable expertise in navigating frontier and emerging markets, most recently as Partner and Global Head of Financial Services at Actis, a major private equity group focused on Africa, Asia and Latin America. During 11 years at Actis, Mark was responsible for building many successful companies, including the market leading Brazilian brokerage XPinvestimentos.

He previously spent 18 years at Barclays in senior roles including CFO of the International Offshore Bank, Director of Group Strategy and Head of Group Corporate Development.

Mark, whose role is subject to final regulatory approval, serves as Non-Executive Director for a number of companies, including Egypt’s leading private sector bank CIB, where he chairs the risk committee. He has a first class degree from Oxford University in modern history and economics and is married with three children.

Nigel Morland

Non-Executive Director

Nigel has been the Chief Operating Officer at the Commonwealth Secretariat, the principal inter-governmental agency of the Commonwealth of 52 countries, since April 2017. Nigel has a proven track record as a CFO and significant multi-national experience. He was the Group Finance Director at Ashurst LLP, the international law firm, where he worked for 15 years. Before that he spent 11 years at Deloittes, providing a range of advisory services, after qualifying there as a Chartered Accountant.
