Alex Cormack

Alex Cormack

Chairman

Alex joined Sheffield Haworth in 2004 and oversees the Alternative Investments business. In addition, he is responsible for the Middle East, Africa, Turkey, and Central Asia regions. Alex has a successful track record of executing searches across several different functional and specialist areas in Financial Services and industry. Prior to joining Sheffield Haworth, he worked on the structured finance desk of a search firm in London and, before that, as an economic and political consultant at the European Economics and Financial Centre.

Alex joined Sheffield Haworth in 2015 and leads the firm’s Greater China executive search practice focusing on Financial Services, Board and Leadership teams across multinational and Asian institutions. Drawing on more than 20 years of executive search experience in Greater China, Alex’s broad understanding of the Chinese market and culture enables him to quickly assess leadership capability and to recruit senior executives that meet specific local and regional challenges. Prior, he worked for CTPartners and Heidrick & Struggles covering Greater China.

James Isaacs

Managing Director

James joined Sheffield Haworth in 2013 and is focused on Retail and Mass Affluent Banking, Cards & Payments, Alternative Finance, Lending and Insurance. Prior to this, he owned and ran the boutique executive search firm called Wrightson Wood. James was a Partner within Korn Ferry’s Financial Services practice, overseeing the UK research team in London and Birmingham plus the firm’s E-commerce specialism across Europe. His earlier career included three years in Australia managing a team for a large PLC recruitment organization.

Michelle joined Sheffield Haworth in 1999. She has particular focus on Risk and Compliance, having completed mandates in Europe, MENA, North America and Asia for investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds and custodians. Michelle is a member of the Sheffield Haworth Board of Directors. Prior, she managed Business Consultancy and Operations teams for a global financial recruitment firm and also worked in the Infrastructure practice at Morgan Stanley.

Michele Lally

Chief Marketing Officer

Michele joined Sheffield Haworth in 2015 and is responsible for the company’s marketing strategy globally to position the company for growth in the coming years. Before Sheffield Haworth she worked for SHL Talent Measurement as Senior Vice President, Global Marketing, and before that worked for Dow Jones, The Wall Street Journal, Factiva and Reuters in multiple marketing and business development roles globally.

Nigel Morland

Nigel Morland

Chief Financial Officer

Nigel joined Sheffield Haworth in 2015, based in London, and is responsible for the Finance function whilst also providing support on strategic company initiatives. Nigel has a proven track record as a CFO and significant multi-national experience, having most recently served as the Group Finance Director for 15 years at Ashurst LLP, an international law firm. Before that, he spent 11 years at Deloitte, providing a range of advisory services and implemented several new financial reporting systems.

Patrick Meehan

Controller

Patrick Meehan joined Sheffield Haworth as Group Financial Controller in 2015 and oversees the daily finance operations of the company as well as working with the global finance team to streamline and upgrade its accounting processes and systems. Patrick is a qualified ACCA Accountant and holds an MSc in Finance & Accounting. He previously worked at a leading global online gaming company as Manager of Group Financial Reporting. Before embarking on his accounting career, Patrick worked as a Consultant for Cobalt Recruitment.

Managing Director, Head of Asia Pacific

Simon joined the Board of Sheffield Haworth as a Non-Executive Director in January 2002 and subsequently as Managing Director and Group COO in February 2007. Simon relocated to Hong Kong in 2009 as Head of Sheffield Haworth`s Asia Pacific platform. Simon focuses on senior roles in Corporate & Investment Banking, M&A, Coverage and Capital Markets across Asia Pacific. A law graduate from Cambridge University, Simon has over 30 years’ experience in financial markets, having also worked at Cazenove & Co. and UBS Warburg.

Lucia joined Sheffield Haworth as Chief Administrative Officer in November 2010. Previously, she served as Administrative Manager for the Financial Services Practice Group with Caldwell Partners from 2009 until 2010. From 2005 to 2009, Lucia was as an Associate with Sextant Search Partners’ Healthcare & Private Equity Practice. She also gained valuable experience as an entrepreneur and business owner in the construction and glass industry.

Tim has been a professional services advisor and business leader for the past 20 years and currently serves as Chairman of Sheffield Haworth. He founded the business in 1993. Tim has advised chief executives, boards, executive committees and human resources directors on their senior human capital needs, working with a diverse range of organisations across all regions of the world.

Patrick helped establish Sheffield Haworth and is Chairman of Wealth & Asset Management practice. Patrick has more than 20 years’ experience working with and establishing Investment Management boutiques as well as placing key executives into global investment organisations. He also advises on succession planning, team lift outs and acquisitions. Patrick spent his earlier career with Oppenheimer Fund Management, Gartmore and Hambros Investment Management.

Gilbert Swann

Gilbert has been with Sheffield Haworth since 2002 and is responsible for the Global Banking business in Europe. Gilbert works across Investment Banking (M&A, country and industry coverage), ECM, DCM, Leveraged Finance, Project and Infrastructure Finance and Syndicated Finance. Gilbert is a member of the Sheffield Haworth Board of Directors. Previously, Gilbert established a successful Structured Finance desk at a boutique search firm in London and, before that, he worked for Thomson Reuters as a financial journalist.

Mark Richards

Non-Executive Director

As the Chief Executive of IPGL Limited, the principle shareholder of Exotix, Mark brings considerable expertise in navigating frontier and emerging markets, most recently as Partner and Global Head of Financial Services at Actis, a major private equity group focused on Africa, Asia and Latin America. During 11 years at Actis, Mark was responsible for building many successful companies, including the market leading Brazilian brokerage XPinvestimentos.

He previously spent 18 years at Barclays in senior roles including CFO of the International Offshore Bank, Director of Group Strategy and Head of Group Corporate Development.

Mark, whose role is subject to final regulatory approval, serves as Non-Executive Director for a number of companies, including Egypt’s leading private sector bank CIB, where he chairs the risk committee. He has a first class degree from Oxford University in modern history and economics and is married with three children.
